Packages at The Space


Packages specify a maximum number of classes and a period of validity:
  • Any full or part class attended counts as a class
  • The Package starts the day of attendance of the first class in the Package
  • The last day of validity of the Package is the earlier of:
    1. the date the maximum number of classes is attended
    2. the close of day on the day prior to the start date plus the period of validity

Package are not suitable if your schedule is uncertain, as they require maximum commitment and are not fully flexible. You cannot for example freeze your Package mid-way through, due to a change in personal, family or work circumstances.

At the time of purchasing your Package however, you may specify one period of a consecutive number of days of a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of 14 days, during which you wish to put your Package on hold. You may not make use of your Package during this period and your Package validity will be extended by the same number of days for which it was put on hold. This only applies at the time of purchasing your Package and not once it has started.

You cannot simply freeze your Package mid-way through, due to a change in personal, family or work circumstances.

Packages cannot be cancelled or refunded, however if after starting your Package you decide you do not wish to continue with it at that time, you may (at any time before the normal expiry of your Package, but not after expiry) adjust and restart the Package in the following way:
  1. Request the Space to adjust and restart your Package;
  2. Make an associated payment for those classes, which you did attend in your Package, prior to requesting a restart (subject to a minimum payment of 2 x the drop-in rate). These will be treated as drop-in classes instead of Package classes. Your request to restart will be accepted once this is paid in full;
  3. Once the restart is accepted, restart the full Package from scratch at a date of your choosing within 1 month of requesting a restart. If the Package has not been restarted after this time it will expire permanently.

We aim to avoid cancelling classes wherever possible, but where this is unavoidable, we will extend the validity of your Package by at least an equivalent number of days to ensure you are not unfairly affected.

Bulk-Buys are somewhat similar to Packages, however for a given number of classes, the validity period would be much longer than for an equivalent Package. The longer validity offers great flexibility, so the extra flexibility options available to Packages do not apply to Bulk-Buys. For example, Bulk-Buys can never be frozen. Nor can Bulk-Buys be adjusted and restarted. Other than this, Bulk-Buys function very similarly to packages.

Any communication you may have understood to indicate a difference to the terms laid out here should be presumed to be incorrect unless specifically stated in writing by The Space management.
